Overview

The Devices module is the heart of MetjetBot, allowing you to connect and manage multiple WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. Each connected device can send messages, receive replies, and run automation independently.

Adding a New Device

Click "Add Device"

Navigate to the Devices module and click the "Add Device" or "+" button in the top right corner.

Enter Device Name

Give your device a recognizable name (e.g., "Sales Team", "Support", "Marketing").

Scan QR Code

A QR code will appear. Open WhatsApp on your phone โ†’ Settings โ†’ Linked Devices โ†’ Link a Device โ†’ Scan the QR code.

Wait for Connection

The device will connect automatically. You'll see a "Connected" status when successful.

Sync Contacts (Optional)

Choose whether to sync contacts from this WhatsApp account to MetjetBot.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Keep your phone connected to the internet during the initial sync. After that, MetjetBot can work independently even if your phone is offline.

Managing Devices

Device Actions

Each device card shows the following information and actions:

  • Device Name: Custom name you assigned
  • Phone Number: Connected WhatsApp number
  • Status: Connected, Disconnected, or Connecting
  • Last Active: Timestamp of last activity
  • Messages Sent: Total messages sent from this device

Understanding Connection Status

Status Indicators

  • ๐ŸŸข Connected: Device is online and ready to send/receive messages
  • ๐ŸŸก Connecting: Device is attempting to establish connection
  • ๐Ÿ”ด Disconnected: Device is offline or connection lost
  • โš ๏ธ Error: Connection error - requires attention
โš ๏ธ Important: If a device shows "Disconnected" for more than 5 minutes, try restarting it. If the issue persists, you may need to reconnect by scanning the QR code again.

Best Practices

Device Naming

  • Use descriptive names that indicate the device's purpose
  • Include team or department names for easy identification
  • Avoid generic names like "Device 1", "Device 2"

Connection Stability

  • Ensure stable internet connection on both PC and phone
  • Keep WhatsApp updated to the latest version on your phone
  • Don't log out of WhatsApp on your phone while using MetjetBot
  • Restart devices periodically if you notice performance issues

Security

  • Only connect devices you trust and control
  • Regularly review connected devices in WhatsApp settings
  • Remove unused devices to maintain security
  • Use strong passwords for your MetjetBot account

Common Issues

QR Code Won't Scan

  • Ensure your phone camera is clean and focused
  • Try refreshing the QR code

Device Keeps Disconnecting

  • Check your internet connection stability
  • Ensure your phone has a stable internet connection
  • Restart both MetjetBot and your phone
  • Try reconnecting the device

Can't Add More Devices

  • Check your license limit for maximum devices
